Who we are
christmas.org.uk is looked after by Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8EP. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you give us when you sign up for emails:
- your email address;
- whether you asked for occasional emails about future seasons;
- when you signed up and confirmed your email address.
Our email service also records whether our emails reach you and whether they are opened or their links clicked. This helps us see whether the emails are working.
How we use it
- Advent reflections. If you sign up, we email you a short reflection each morning from Advent Sunday to Christmas Day.
- Future seasons. Only if you tick the box, we also email you occasionally about Christmas, Easter and other seasons at West End churches.
We use your information only for what you’ve chosen, on the basis of your consent. You only join the list after clicking the link in the confirmation email we send you. We never sell your information or share it with anyone else to use for their own purposes.
Who handles it for us
We use Brevo, an email service based in France, to store sign-ups and send our emails. Brevo handles your information only on our instructions and keeps it in the European Union.
This website doesn’t use cookies or tracking. Its fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to load them.
How long we keep it
- If you signed up only for the Advent reflections, we delete your details by the end of January after that Christmas.
- If you asked for emails about future seasons, we keep your details until you unsubscribe, or until we stop sending these emails.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can also ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing seasonal@bloomsbury.org.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
