Our Carol Celebration was last night, and it was good fun. Lots of people taking part, providing music vocally and instrumentally. And there were some who are professional, and some who are just beginning.
Lots of everybody singing too, and as always, we loved to sing the story of Christmas and the promise of peace - all that we long for, and this year more than most.
We paused in the middle, after we sang that delightful carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem" - with its promise of silently, silently, the wondrous gift is given. We paused, and saw some pictures for Behtlehem now, and heard some of whast is happening there, and we heard greetings, via Amos Trust, of peace from Bethelehem.
And we lit a candle and prayed for peace.
O come, O ome Emmanuel...
